3K & 4K Classroom

Welcome to Our 3K Classroom!

In 3K, we are all about PLAY!
Through thematic units filled with play opportunities, hands-on learning experiences, and social interactions, students will be exposed to early learning elements and will develop important skills, all while having fun. Most important to the classroom, is the light of Jesus that shines in all areas of a child’s development - spiritual, academic, physical, social, and emotional. Jesus, and our love for Jesus, will shine through in all we do.

Sharing God's Love With Mrs. Hussman

It is such an immense joy and pleasure to spend time with children and to have the opportunity to share the love of Jesus with them. God tells us to “Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.” (Proverbs 22:6) I am honored to assist parents in this task. It is my prayer that someday I will see each one of these children’s faces in heaven.

I graduated from Martin Luther College in 2011 with a degree in Elementary Education. My husband (Pastor/Professor Andrew Hussman – currently serving at Luther Preparatory School) and I were married that summer and he began his studies at Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary. While he was there, I spent time in the 1st and 2nd Grade classrooms at Garden Homes Lutheran School in Milwaukee, WI and the 7th/8th Grade classroom at Trinity Lutheran School in Brillion, WI.  After that, the Lord began blessing us with children and I pushed “pause” on teaching to stay at home with our kids: Lyla, Eliana and Silas (at home with the Lord), Amara, Justus and Clary.

Over the past 10 years, I’ve spent most of my time surrounded by and involved with early childhood content and programs, both in our home and in the community. I am amazed at unquestioning faith in Jesus, the wonder and fascination of all things, the desire to learn and the immense growth that this particular age group exhibits. It’s contagious, it’s fun and I am excited to be a part of it!

When not teaching, I enjoy reading books, playing card/board games and finding new trails/areas to explore with the family.

I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.

John 16:33

4K Classroom

Welcome to Our 4K Classroom!

Welcome to 4K! We are so excited to have you here. This is a great place to become Kindergarten ready. That means learning pre-reading skills, social emotional skills, and general school behavior. I hope the friendships they make in our classroom will last a long time as they continue on to a full day of school at St. John's Lutheran.

Sharing God's Love With Mrs. Maloney

I started my teaching at St. Johns in 2020. I really wanted to be at a school where there are genuine connections with family, and a solid faith to help them through life. I got married to my husband, Kyle Maloney, at the beginning of 2017. Since then I have welcomed three amazing kids into the world. Eloise is my oldest and I love that I have passed on to her my love for reading. Archer has red hair and the best imagination. Something I definitely encourage in the classroom. My youngest is Olive, she is very interested in music. Music is another thing I focus on in preschool. I hope they come home and sing lots of songs.
I went to college at Wisconsin Lutheran College where I received my Communication degree with a History minor. After college I started working in daycares. I was encouraged to go back to school. I got my masters at Grand Canyon University in Early Childhood education. I grew up going to Lutheran schools and I knew that is where I truly wanted to be. I am now getting ministry certified at Martin Luther college.

Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.
