It is such an immense joy and pleasure to spend time with children and to have the opportunity to share the love of Jesus with them. God tells us to “Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.” (Proverbs 22:6) I am honored to assist parents in this task. It is my prayer that someday I will see each one of these children’s faces in heaven.

I graduated from Martin Luther College in 2011 with a degree in Elementary Education. My husband (Pastor/Professor Andrew Hussman – currently serving at Luther Preparatory School) and I were married that summer and he began his studies at Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary. While he was there, I spent time in the 1^st and 2^nd Grade classrooms at Garden Homes Lutheran School in Milwaukee, WI and the 7^th/8^th Grade classroom at Trinity Lutheran School in Brillion, WI.  After that, the Lord began blessing us with children and I pushed “pause” on teaching to stay at home with our kids: Lyla, Eliana and Silas (at home with the Lord), Amara, Justus and Clary.

Over the past 10 years, I’ve spent most of my time surrounded by and involved with early childhood content and programs, both in our home and in the community. I am amazed at unquestioning faith in Jesus, the wonder and fascination of all things, the desire to learn and the immense growth that this particular age group exhibits. It’s contagious, it’s fun and I am excited to be a part of it!

When not teaching, I enjoy reading books, playing card/board games and finding new trails/areas to explore with the family.
